K of M Gathering 2013: Las Vegas, October 11 - 14 (Columbus Day weekend)
The Yosemite Knights – K of M Fresno will be hosting Gathering in Las Vegas over the Columbus Day weekend (October 11-14th, 2013). There will be K of M members from the Seattle WA and Vancouver BC chapters in attendance, as well as some of the Golden State Bears and other friends, including locals.
What is a Knights’ Gathering? It is a loosely-organized weekend for the members of the other chapters and their friends to get together, socialize, have fun, explore the nightlife in the host city and just have a great time. We’ll definitely have one dinner as a group, but other than that, maybe we’ll go to a beer bust, a drag show, visit Hoover Dam or…? The possibilities are limitless! The event is open to all.
What is the cost? It’s up to you: make your own travel arrangements, get a hotel room (see below) and beyond that the cost is whatever your budget allows!
What are the accommodations? We have secured a special rate at the Stratosphere Hotel for the weekend: Friday October 11th - $69, Saturday October 12th - $89, Sunday October 13th $55. You don’t have to stay Sunday night, since not everyone has Columbus Day off. The rates are double occupancy, $15 for each additional person, maximum of four per room. Please add 12% tax and a resort fee (see below).
What does the resort fee cover? Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower is currently charging a resort fee of $12.99 per room, per night. This charge is posted as an incidental charge on the guest's bill, for which they are responsible for payment upon check in.
The resort package includes these great values:
· Free unlimited admission to the Tower Viewing Decks during all normal viewing hours for up to 4 people per room
· Free daily admission to our fitness center and 8th floor resort style pool
· Guaranteed Guest Parking (valet and covered self park available)
· $5.00 daily Food & Beverage Credit – available at select property outlets
· 20% discount on all services at Roni Josef Spa and Salon
· $20.00 discount on the Frankie Moreno Show – must be 21 or older
· 2-for-1 tickets to PIN UP – starring Clair Sinclair – 2011 Playboy Playmate of the Year – must be 21 or older
How to make a reservation? Call the Group Reservations Department at 1-800-998-6937 between the hours of 7AM to 10 PM PST and reference the Group: “Yosemite Knights” and/or Group Code: “C-KM13” and provide an approved credit card with the appropriate information. The hotel will charge the first night’s of your stay on your credit card at the time of the reservation. The cut-off date for reservations is September 20, 2013. Please note check-in time is 3:00 P.M. and checkout time is 11:00 A.M.
How to get to Las Vegas? You’re on your own: from Fresno you can fly via Allegiant Air, drive (or carpool with someone you know, it’s about 6 hours’ travel time), or take Amtrak to Bakersfield and get on Amtrak Thruway Bus (7.5 – 8 hours).
